Lily Goldberg is currently working towards a dual major in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences, and Drama. Lily is from Gaithersburg, MD where she began her leadership experience in Bnai Brith Youth Organization and through assistant directing youth theatre shows.
During Lily's freshman year at Hofstra she was on the Executive Board for Hillel as Logistics and Marketing Chair. Lily was also involved in the Netherland's Hall Council and served on the Executive Board as Programming Chair. In addition to these leadership roles, Lily also participated in an alternative break with Hofstra Hillel and AJWS where she volunteered in Nicaragua to help build a sidewalk for a school. Lily was also a co-captain for the first ever Hillel's Relay for Life team.
This year Lily is a Resident Assistant in Bill of Rights residence hall, a member of the only all female Acapella group on campus, Makin' Treble, and a Social Entrepreneur Initiative Intern. Lily is ecstatic to be Co-President for Hillel with Allie this year and cannot wait to see everything that we can accomplish together.
Alexandra Fox, from Huntington Woods, Michigan, is a sophomore at Hofstra and is overly enthusiastic to serve as one of the Co-Presidents for the 2010-2011 school year.
She was the Freshman Representative on the Student Board last year, and it truly enriched her freshman year. She loved every minute of it, and it only encouraged her to pursue and even bigger role in Hillel for the upcoming year. Additionally, she served as a Co-Captain for Hillel's 2010 Relay for Life team.
This year, in addition to being Hillel Co-President, Alexandra will be a Social Entrepreneur Initiative Intern, in which she will plan events that will bring different Jewish Students together.
Alexandra is a Vocal Performance Music major with a Judaic Studies minor. She is in the Hofstra Chorale and is involved with Hofstra Opera Theater. When she is not singing or taking part in Hillel activities, you can find Alexandra spending time with her friends or playing the piano. While residing at home, she leads bi-monthly Shabbat services at a retirement home. This has become her favorite pastime. Alexandra takes immense pride in being Jewish and hopes to someday become a cantor. She exuberant about Hofstra Hillel and is so excited for the year ahead!
